One of my favorite illustrators is Barbara McClintock. She captures the essence of childhood with her children's wonderful expressions. Based on a Ukrainian folktale, made popular by Jan Brett, Aylesworth and McClintock combine forces again to bring an old-fashioned, warm and comfy version of this tale.

In the story, a little boy loses his mitten that the forest animals fight over to nestle into. Will they all fit? Can they share?
